106.9 THE LIGHT PASTOR’S APPRECIATION MONTH
 OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

1. Entries for this contest will begin at 7:00am on October 9 and end at 11:59am on October 29. The mechanics of the contests, if any, (i.e. providing the correct answer to a particular question, etc.) will be explained by the announcer during the contest and by the on-air recorded announcement. Winners will be selected by random drawing on the mornings of October 16, 23 and 30.  Odds of winning are based on number of participants.  This contest is open to all traditional FM radio broadcast and internet broadcast listeners. 
2. For those without internet access, entries may be submitted to: 106.9 the Light Pastor’s Appreciation Contest, P.O. Box 159, Black Mountain, NC 28711. Entries sent by mail must be received by October 29 to be eligible.
3. The winner will be the contestant meeting the designated criteria as outlined in paragraph one.  Blue Ridge Broadcasting – 106.9 THE LIGHT’s determination of said winner is final.
4. This contest will have two winners for each drawing: a pastor and a nominating listener. The pastor will receive the prize outlined in paragraph 5 and the listener will received the prize outlined in paragraph 6.

   2 Nights Stay for family at Brookstone Lodge in Asheville
   Family Package to Asheville’s Fun Depots
   Passes on Asheville’s Historic Trolley Tours
   Meal Passes
6. Listener Prize:
   106.9 the Light Prize pack including Books, CDs and other 106.9 the Light goodies
7. Unless notified differently by the station, all listener prizes will be mailed to the winner’s address, as relayed to the announcer, within five working days upon winning.  106.9 THE LIGHT is not responsible for delays and receipt of prizes caused by the United States mail system or other mail carrier. All pastor prizes will be available upon check-in to the Brookstone Lodge. A representative from Brookstone Lodge will contact pastor winners to arrange reservations. All local, state and federal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.  The winner forfeits all prizes not claimed within thirty days.  Winners may be required to sign a release.
8. Proper photo identification of winners may be requested by Blue Ridge Broadcasting – 106.9 THE LIGHT.  Proper identification includes driver’s license, passport, military ID or school ID.
9. Blue Ridge Broadcasting – 106.9 THE LIGHT is not responsible for technical failures such as but not limited to telephone system failures and Internet failures.
10. Unless otherwise specified in the explanation of the mechanics of the contest, all ages are eligible to enter contests.  All 106.9 THE LIGHT contests are open to all U. S. 106.9 THE LIGHT listeners.
11. No cash equivalents of prizes can be allowed.  Blue Ridge Broadcasting shall have no liability in connection with the use or misuse of a prize by its winner. 
12. 106.9 THE LIGHT may, due to the unavailability of prizes awarded, substitute another prize of equal or greater value for the prize originally won.  106.9 THE LIGHT will not be responsible or held liable for prizes awarded to an event that is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.
13. 106.9 THE LIGHT reserves the right to revoke prizes if the winner does not meet any and all eligibility requirements even though an announcement may have been made indicating that person was the winner.
14. 106.9 THE LIGHT, its agencies and representatives shall not be liable for any claim, injury or damage from any 106.9 THE LIGHT contest or prize awarded in a contest.
15. All contest entries become the property of 106.9 THE LIGHT.  106.9 THE LIGHT may withhold any current contest entry level materials for any reason station management deems critical to the completion of the contest or for reasons relating to publicity and/or advertising.
16. On written contests, unless otherwise stated, multiple entries by the same person will be disregarded and be deemed cause for disqualification.
17. Employees of Blue Ridge Broadcasting, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, suppliers of contest prizes and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. 
18. By participating in a contest, Blue Ridge Broadcasting – 106.9 THE LIGHT has the unconditional permission of any caller to use their voice and/or likeness on-air and/or in station advertising.
19. A legal officer of Blue Ridge Broadcasting – 106.9 THE LIGHT, whose decisions and interpretations shall be final, will make all decisions in regard to and interpretation of these official rules.
20. A copy of these rules are available for inspection during regular business hours at the Blue Ridge Broadcasting – 106.9 THE LIGHT studios, 1330 Highway 70 East, Black Mountain, NC.  Requests for copies to be sent via fax can be made at 1-800-330-9648 during regular business hours.
