Rescue Mission Collection

106.9 the Light collects items for area Rescue Missions

Black Mountain, NC – June 30, 2008 – 106.9 the Light listeners donated items for six rescue missions across its listening area during June 16-20.

Basic need items, non-perishable food items and gift cards were collected for five area rescue missions. Monday’s collection was at the Beacon Drive-In for Miracle Hill Rescue Mission in Spartanburg. Tuesday’s collection was at H & H Pest Control in Shelby for the Crossroads Rescue Mission. Wednesday’s collection was at The Billy Graham Library for the Charlotte Rescue Mission. Thursday’s collection was at The Open Door Christian Bookstore for the Hendersonville Rescue Mission. Friday’s collection was at Asheville Dodge for the Western Carolina Rescue Mission.

A separate collection was held at the Hickory Crawdad's baseball game on Sunday, June 29. Those items benefited the Safe Harbor Rescue Mission in Hickory, NC.

Many items were collected but the missions were more excited about the exposure that was received.
